If you like beer, you’ll love Golden. In addition to being home to the largest single-site brewery in the world – MillerCoors – Golden is home to six craft beer breweries also offering tours and beer tastings.

Adolph Coors established the brewery in Golden in 1873 on the banks of Clear Creek (originally called Cannonball Creek). The company and the town have grown together for well over a century, and today, Coors Brewery Tour attracts 300,000 visitors each year. The Coors Brewery Tour includes a quick van tour of Golden, including historic downtown, a self-guided tour of the brewery featuring the hoppers and bottling line, and a trip to the hospitality room, where you can sample MillerCoors (including AC Golden) products for free.

The hours for the tour change seasonally, so it’s best to call ahead to make sure they’re open on the day you plan to visit. Plan to spend at least an hour to three hours depending on the wait. Click here for more information about Coors.

Please note: Backpacks or bags of any type (i.e. purses, diaper bags, briefcases, computer bags, etc.) are not permitted in the brewery or on the tour. Strollers are not permitted on the bus or in the brewery. These items should be left at home or in the car as Coors Brewery Tour staff will not check bags. Lockers are NOT provided.

It is a culture of curious & distinct individuals dedicated to the science & craft of small batch, high quality, creative beers. Their motto is not “this is how it is done” but rather, “what if we try this way?” It inspires them to create, to innovate, and to explore new terrain.
