Movies and Music in the Park are free and held at Parfet Park on July 15, August 12, and September…

Parades & Festivals

Our parades and festivals are a part of Golden's identity, and we want you to be a part of it.

Golden’s Buffalo Bill Days event, a week-long celebration in July, was born from commemorative saddle club rides to the grave of Buffalo Bill on top of Lookout Mountain. The event not only features a parade but also live music, a car show and golf tournament, and an appearance from Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley.

Golden is also home to unforgettable art venues and two special art events: Artsweek Golden and the Golden Fine Arts Festival

Each year, filmmakers, environmental activists, and moviegoers come together for the annual Environmental Film Festival, a rare chance, once a year, between February and March, to share films and spark discussions and solutions about the urgent environmental issues we’re facing as a planet.

Fun in Every Season

Join us any time of year for a wide variety of events revolving around music, dogs, and holiday celebrations!

In the spring, gather your family for an Easter celebration, from an egg hunt at Parfet Park to a brunch at the Bridgewater Grill

During the summertime, break out the popcorn, picnic blankets, and dance moves at Parfet Park for a live music concert or an outdoor movie night. And come out to celebrate the Fourth of July with a festival hosted by the Golden Lions Club featuring fireworks, food, music and more.

In the fall, Golden embraces the spooky season, and so do its attractions which host events revolving around hayrides, pub crawls, and ghost tours. The Colorado Railroad Museum, for instance, hosts train rides, trick-or-treating, and more.

And in the winter, seasonal events like the Olde Golden Candlelight walk and the holiday parade through downtown Golden, both in December, are spectacles for the senses, brightening up chilly winter nights with the bright lights of family fun.

After the holidays, pet lovers bask in the annual celebration of Golden retrievers at our event aptly named Goldens in Golden in February. Get a photo with your golden under the “Welcome to Golden” arch, stay at a pet-friendly hotel, and enjoy dog-friendly deals around town.
