The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Education Center (formally Visitors Center) offers a variety of programs and introductory tours for individuals and groups. Advanced scheduling is required. The Education Center offers a small display area which includes several video presentations describing NREL’s research.

Located just East of downtown Golden, NREL’s Education Center provides a variety of program topics and experiences for student and adult groups addressing renewable energy, energy efficiency innovations and introducing the work of NREL. A launch-pad for energy innovations, NREL is home to world-renowned energy experts. NREL researches and develops technologies for powering our homes, buildings, businesses, fueling our vehicles and other modes of transportation. The lab leads the way in analyzing energy integration, energy supplies, and economic impacts. NREL group programs

NREL GROUP PROGRAMS

Group programs are available at no charge. Knowledgeable volunteers are available to answer questions and provide assistance.
NREL’s Education Center is located on the South Table Mountain Site in Golden, Colorado. Travel on Interstate-70 to Exit 263, Denver West Boulevard, and turn north. Travel toward the Denver West Marriott Hotel and turn left at the traffic light onto Denver West Parkway. The Education Center is the first building on your right past the NREL’s entrance sign.
